Chrisillian Annexe is a bright and spacious two-bedroomed holiday home, located in the centre of the rural village of Ilsington, on the eastern edge of Dartmoor. This is a great retreat to escape the daily grind, with the rugged moorland landscape on the doorstep and the coastline further south. The most famous tor on Dartmoor, Hay Tor, is 2 miles away; walking and cycle routes abound. Upon entering the property, you will love the light and airy kitchen, which has everything you need to cook delicious meals during your stay. The dining area of the kitchen is a great space to enjoy a family meal and after a fun-filled day exploring South Devon, you can kick back and relax on the plush sofas in the living room and watch your favourite movie on the smart TV. If you don’t feel like cooking, then why not dine in the popular Carpenter Arms pub, which serves delicious meals and is located just a couple of minutes walk away in the village. On sunny days or warm evenings you can open the patio doors and bask in the sun, sipping a refreshing beverage; the conservatory is also a fabulous suntrap! Ilsington is a quintessential, rural Devonshire village, yet it’s just 4 miles from the A38, and a 45-minute drive south to the coast. Marvel at spectacular Haytor on the open moorland, or enjoy the birds and butterflies in the countryside around the cottage. There are many visitor attractions not far from the property: Exeter, with its Crealy Theme Park and Resort, is ideal for a family day out and is only 30 minutes away by car; The Miniature Pony Centre nine miles is great for families and Shilstone Rocks riding centre five miles offers hacks on the moors; visit Plymouth and take a trip to the Aquarium, only 40 minutes away by car. There are also many National Trust properties close by. Chrisillian Annexe is an excellent base in a welcoming Devon village for venturing out by bike or on foot. Free WiFi
