. Ground Floor: All on the ground floor. Living room: No TV. Kitchen/dining room: With breakfast bar, electric hob, microwave and fridge. Bedroom: With 2 sets of bunk beds and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet.. Electric heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included.. Sitting-out area with garden furniture and firepit (shared with other properties on-site). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Risso Pod has been designed to a very good standard to offer glamping accommodation in a peaceful setting. It makes the most of an amazing location on the north coast of Scotland overlooking Strathy Bay and the North Atlantic Ocean. On clearer days, you can even see the Orkney Isles! The pod has been handcrafted from quality timber; the outside is clad in larch from managed woodland in the Lake District, which gives a natural finish to blend into the environment. Being constructed on a steel base, with cavity walls and rock wool insulation, means with the electric heating you’ll be nice and cosy when stopping off on a winter break. Good news for when you’re up north for the Aurora Borealis! Strathy Bay is an amazing place to spend some time. The north coast of Scotland is a long way, but so very a special place, it’s so worth the trip! At Strathy Bay and nearby at Melvich and Armadale, you’ll find big sandy beaches, open seas and views of faraway islands.
