Located in the broadland village of Repps-with-Bastwick, located alongside the River Thurne with the village pub and shop just a short walking distance. Enjoy a stroll down to the River Thurne which is no more than 10 minutes from the front door. The sandy beaches backed with dunes are just 5 miles away, or alternatively Hemsby and Winterton-on-Sea both offer miles of excellent wide sandy beaches, café, restaurants and pub. The area is excellent for cycling, walking, bird watching and golf. A 3-minute drive is Potter Heigham, a great place to fish, daily boat hire available, restaurants, café and shops. Hire a kayak or and canoe and explore the waterways at a very leisurely pace. Within a 20 minutes’ drive are more wonderful Norfolk Broad villages; Horning and Wroxham also offer daily river trips, boat hire, shops, riverside pubs, cafés and restaurants. The traditional seaside town of Great Yarmouth is 11 miles away, with its amusements, pleasure beach that offers thrill rides galore, a wide sandy beach, waxworks, pitch and putt, and town centre with shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants. The medieval city of Norwich, 18 miles, offers a stunning Norman castle to explore along with numerous museums, cinemas, theatre, excellent shopping, two indoor shopping malls and plenty of restaurants, cafés and pubs.
