Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Càirdeil House is a fantastic holiday home on the edge of the coastal village of Dornoch in the Scottish Highlands. The house is a modern eco-home which has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and very spacious living space. On the edge of the village, the house has wide ranging views of the surrounding countryside. There’s a footpath close to the house that quickly takes you through the woods to sandy Dornoch beach and the amazing golf course. Royal Dornoch Golf Club is ranked one of the best golf courses in the world and is understandably a big draw to the area. Càirdeil House is the perfect place for a group of golfers to base themselves as each bedroom can set up as a twin, so the house can easily accommodate eight people/golfers. There are some nice places to eat and drink in the village, only a short walk away. There’s very little desire to leave Dornoch once you arrive, everything you’ll want and need is within a mile of the house. Those that want to explore more of the Highlands though also benefit from staying at Càirdeil House. Just off the NC500 touring route, it’s easy to explore north, south and west. The Northern Highlands are on the doorstep and offer wilderness begging to be explored. Whether golfing, walking locally, enjoying Dornoch beach, or exploring further afield in the Highlands, returning to Càirdeil House at the end of the day is a joy. It’s a great place to relax, rest and recharge. The living space downstairs has a great flow and is pretty much open-plan. There is a great sun room overlooking the garden and surrounding fields. One of the best things about the ground floor is the honesty bar that the owner has thoughtfully curated with a fine selection of whisky and gins for guests to help themselves to. It’s a great perk and one that requires an honest donation for partaking. The first floor is dedicated to the sleeping quarters and there’s four good sized bedrooms that are all twins, with two bedrooms having the potential to be super kingsize beds.
