Full to the brim of original character including fireplaces and exposed beams, the cottage is presented in lovely condition throughout. The cottage has an open-plan living room and kitchen. After a fun-filled day exploring Devon, you can sit back on the sofa, relax and watch your favourite programme on the freeview TV. Guests should be aware that the stairs in the cottage are very steep and the ceilings are very low due to it being a Grade II listed old property. Situated in one of South Devon’s most popular and unspoilt areas, you will be able to enjoy some delightful country walks directly from the property. The magical waterfalls, lakes and ancient woodlands of Canonteign Falls are just 2 miles away and the Teign Valley Golf Course is also within 2 miles. The wild bird sanctuary and reserve at Dawlish Warren is nearby, as is Dartmoor National Park which offers excellent opportunities for outdoor pursuits including walks around the local reservoirs and to explore the various different tors on the moorland. The area is a haven for wildlife and wild ponies. Whether you want a quiet gentle stroll or an exhilarating mountain biking experience, there’s something for you at Haldon Forest Park. Go Ape and Go Segway are based at Haldon Forest as well as a range of four walking and five cycling trails to suit all abilities. Go Ape is a great location for thrill seekers and family adventurers, with hilltop to hilltop zip wires and daring high level crossings. You may be deep in the forest but the 360-degree views from the treetop vantage points are spectacular. South Devon’s bustling resorts and beautiful beaches are just a short drive away including Teignmouth which is 25 minutes, 30 minutes to Dawlish and Exmouth can be reached in around 35 minutes which offers opportunities for paddleboarding, windsurfing and sailing.
