The Forge has been lovingly converted in 2014 from an original Blacksmith’s Forge into a beautiful and extremely comfortable 2-bedroom cottage in the owners’ grounds. Situated in the lovely village of Barston in a stunning part of the West Midlands; it is the perfect location for couples, friends and small families to see this fabulous part of the country. The friendly owners have made this property perfect for their guests’ enjoyment and it has some great original features including original beams, plenty of character and some lovely finishing touches. All on one level are two well-appointed bedrooms and well equipped open plan kitchen/living room which leads onto a private patio where you can enjoy the evening sun over a glass of wine. You have got a choice of two walkable village pubs, including The Malt Shovel which is right next door, with great food and fine ales, so why not treat yourself and leave someone else with the washing up. There are some lovely walks from The Forge to discover including the Millennium Way and the Grand Union Canal. There are plenty of other outdoor pursuits to enjoy in the nearby vicinity including an 18-hole golf course, fishing and horse riding. The surrounding villages are well worth visiting including Knowle, with its traditional high street and high-end independent shops, bars and restaurants. Solihull is a great town with something for everyone and you are within easy driving distance of many lovely towns including Shakespeare’s Stratford Upon Avon, Royal Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Warwick. Birmingham city is close by and is great for shopping. Also, Shows, exhibitions and concerts can be found at the NEC and Genting Arena only 10-minutes away. There are many National Trust properties in the area, including Packwood House, Baddesley Clinton, Birmingham Back to Backs, The Roundhouse, Coughton Court and Charlecote Park.
