Views of Haldon Forest and over the Exe Estuary can be enjoyed from different locations around Kennford and the neighbouring village of Kenn. Set high above the village is Haldon Forest which is less than a 5-minute drive away, with its miles of trails for walkers, runners and cyclists who can enjoy this extensive woodland and impressive views. Here there are also orienteering courses and Go Ape for those daring to take on some treetop challenges. The cathedral city of Exeter is located only 6 miles away from The Old Reading Room. This picturesque city has a vast selection of restaurants, bars and takeaways, a bustling shopping precinct, a high street full of well known retailers and Fore Street, which is solely dedicated to independent businesses. Covering 368 square miles of wild, open moorland, the centre of Dartmoor National Park can be reached within a 20-minute drive.
