Ennerdale View is only one mile outsdie of the Lake District National Park. Parking can be found directly outside and an enclosed garden with paved and lawned areas to the rear. Your nearest lake is Ennerdale Water, Ennerdale is regarded as one of the most unspoilt areas of the Lake District and is full of wildlife including red squirrels, osprey and buzzards. If that’s not enough, Loweswater is just 10 miles away which leads to Crummock Water and then Buttermere. Visit Cockermouth nearby with its wide high street and choice of shops and tea rooms. It is also the birthplace of the poet William Wordsworth and you can visit the National Trust property where he lived. Whitehaven, 5 miles away, has good restaurants, supermarkets, shopping and a popular harbour. St Bees Head Heritage Coast is 6 miles away, offering excellent coastal walks and golden sandy beaches. If you’re feeling up for a big adventure, you’re just a 30-minute drive to Wast Water and Wasdale Head, giving you the shortest and most direct route to the summit of the highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike.
