The Bothy is set within a Victorian walled garden and is only 3 miles from Shrewsbury town centre. The cottage which has been thoughtfully designed and decorated. It has an open plan living space with a large relaxing sofa, wood burner and dining for four people. The well-equipped kitchen includes a microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a washing machine. The bedroom sleeps two and has a kingsize bed along with built-in wardrobes. To the rear of the cottage is a sheltered private patio which overlooks the beautifully maintained owners’ gardens. With patio furniture and a BBQ, this wonderful sun trap allows guests to relax after a long day exploring all that Shropshire has to offer. Shrewsbury is one of England’s finest medieval market towns, boasting over 600 listed buildings, plenty of timber-framed black and white buildings, the castle, now a regimental museum, Shrewsbury Abbey, and the 18th Century Shrewsbury Prison. The River Severn forms a loop around the town centre offering gentle riverside walks or a trip on the pleasure boat, Sabrina. If you fancy a bite to eat or a bit of retail therapy the town offers a wide selection of gastro pubs and eateries and interesting boutique shops. For guest who enjoy the outdoors the Shropshire Hills and nearby north Wales offer an abundance of scenic walking and cycle routes which are worth exploring any time of the year. Easily accessible is Church Stretton and the National Trust’s Carding Mill Valley with is pretty waterfall.
