Vibrant Bude is 5 miles away and has several stunning golden beaches, including Summerleaze and famous semi-natural Sea Pool. Boasting many shops and restaurants along with its own 130-year-old golf course, this wonderful coastal town is popular with families and attracts water sports enthusiasts from far and wide. Port Isaac and Clovelly are also nearby locations that are well worth a visit. To the south-west lies mysterious Tintagel, forever associated with the legend of King Arthur. The famous castle of two halves, is now linked by the brilliantly engineered 70 metre Tintagel Castle Footbridge. From here, you can experience spectacular views of the rugged coastline and vast Atlantic Ocean below. Located 5 miles from Tintagel, the beautiful, unspoilt port and village of Boscastle, offers a relaxing alternative, where you can stroll down to the quay or venture into the Valency Valley, an area of superb mature woodland and wildlife. There are many attractions to visit, the world-renowned Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, atmospheric Bodmin Moor, The Big Sheep and Milky Way, all of which offer memorable days out for all age groups. Enjoy excellent locally caught produce in Padstow with its many restaurants, or just relax and watch the world go by in one of the many cafés.
