This quaint 1-bedroom cottage has been lovingly finished with guests’ needs in mind. The open plan living space enjoys a cosy wood burner, dining area in front of the stone mullion bay window and a well-equipped kitchen and to the side, a lovely courtyard garden where you can enjoy your meals al-fresco. Upstairs takes you straight into the well-dressed bedroom with another beautiful mullion window and a lovely en-suite with shower over a roll top bath. Whether you are looking for a quick weekend break or to enjoy the cottage for a week or more, this is a great cottage and base to stay to enable you to explore the delights of the Cotswolds. There are lovely walks into the countryside from the doorstep and close by is the Longborough Festival Opera, which stages performances throughout the summer months. There are many local towns and villages to discover including Moreton-in-Marsh (3 miles) where you can catch the train to London Paddington (90 minutes), Stow-on-the-Wold (4 miles) both towns with many local amenities, independent shops and restaurants and a regular market. Batsford Arboretum, Broadway Tower and Daylesford Farm Shop and Spa are all fabulous places to visit during your stay. For a day at the races, you are spoilt for choice with Cheltenham famous for its festival only 19 miles away, Warwick and Stratford Upon Avon are also within easy reach. Other towns of interest and worth a stop off or a day trip are Bourton-on-the-water with its shallow river meandering through the centre, Chipping Norton, Banbury, Burford, the historic University city of Oxford, Shakespeare’s Stratford Upon Avon with its many tourist attractions and Warwick with its fabulous castle.
