Situated in what used to be Barclays Bank which opened in 1872, this building is in the centre of the town with lovely views from the apartment windows over the town and into the countryside beyond. With an open plan living space the apartment is ideal for chatting to each other over a glass of wine or cup of tea. Bellingham is set on the edge of the Northumberland National park, a gold-tier Dark Sky Park, the largest in Europe and ideal for stargazers and photographers, and makes a great base for travelling around the area and beyond. This beautiful unspoilt area is close to Kielder Forest and Water Park which is fantastic for water enthusiasts, mountain bikers, cyclists and walkers where days out with breath-taking scenery is a daily treat. The Scottish Carter Bar with easy access to the Scottish Borders is only 18 miles should you wish to venture into Scotland during your stay. The small village of Otterburn is 9 miles with a good outdoor shop based in Otterburn Mill. Day trips over to the coast don’t take too long and make a lovely change where you can visit the beaches and castles of Northumberland, perhaps stopping at Alnwick Castle whilst you are out. In 2018, Northumberland was voted the best county to holiday by the British Tourism Awards. The pubs and Shops are only a two minute walk so you can have a nice evening meal out leaving your car at the door. Free WiFi
