Living area: With wood burner, Smart TV and French doors leading to terrace. Dining area. Kitchen area: With electric cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Utility room: With a twin tub washing machine. Bedroom 1: With double bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet. Bedroom 2: With double bed. Bedroom 3: With single bed. Located on the beautiful Cassilis Castle Estate, Garden Cottage is in a riverside location. The extensive grounds consist of over 200 acres of formal gardens and woodland, and the River Doon meanders past the estate. Located within the grounds of Cassilis Castle, which dates back to the 15th century and has huge historical importance in Ayrshire history. The estate is nestled in the rolling Ayrshire countryside, a paradise for walkers, bikers and hikers, with numerous coastal trails and country tracks to explore. The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs along this coastline and is very popular with walkers. The area is steeped in history with many ruined castles to explore, such as Dunure, Turnberry and Greenan. A visit and tour of Culzean Castle, designed by Robert Adams and truly one of his masterpieces, is one not to be missed with its dramatic clifftop location, as is a trip to the 18th-century Dumfries House, part of the Princes Foundation and home to an unrivalled collection of Chippendale furniture. The world famous Turnberry Resort is close by and, in addition to golf, has a fantastic spa and outdoor centre. The pretty seaside towns of Ayr, Prestwick, Troon and Girvan are only a short drive and there are very good rail links for a trip to the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow. Boat trips to Ailsa Craig can be taken from the harbour to see the nesting birds or for a fishing trip. The islands of Cumbrae and Arran are easily reached for a day out whilst day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan. Free WiFi
