Ground Floor: Living room 1: With wood burner, 42" Freeview TV, DVD player and beams. Living room 2: With open fire, 20" Freeview TV, DVD player and beams. Kitchen/dining room: With electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, wooden floor and French door leading to garden. Bathroom: With bath, shower cubicle and toilet.. First Floor: Bedroom 1: With zip and link kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request). Bedroom 2: With kingsize bed, 20" Freeview TV, DVD player and beams. Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fire and wood burner included, remainder £3.50 per basket (honesty box). Travel cot and highchair. Welcome pack.. Lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. It has a lovely feel throughout, and the cosy wood burner, set in an original inglenook fireplace, is perfect to sit in front of during nights in. The smaller second living room is the ideal place for reading and relaxing in, and offers an extra bit of space. Built in the 19th century, the cottage oozes charm, and the owner has carefully restored the property whilst paying attention to the smallest details. Set at the end of a little terrace with private parking to the rear, the cottage is wonderfully located only 2 minutes from the A1, ensuring that it is easy to explore this fabulous county. Voted as the best county to visit in 2018 in the British Tourism Awards, you will be spoilt for choice whatever direction you wish to travel. The heritage coastline, stretching up to Berwick-on-Tweed, is practically on the doorstep, and is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with miles of golden beaches and castles. Nearby Rothbury, only 11 miles away, is also well worth a day trip, and is home to the National Trust’s Cragside Hall. The famous castle in Alnwick is only 6 miles from Hazel Cottage, and the enchanting water gardens, along with the cobbled streets in Alnwick, make for a great day out. The very pretty village of Alnmouth is 8 miles and has a sandy beach, little gift shops and tea rooms. If you would like a day trip to Kielder Water and the famous Dark Sky National Park, it is only 42 miles away and has a rugged forest landscape and miles of mountain bike tracks.
