Arnside is located close to the Cumbrian border and forms part of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Marshland birds thrive in the area, and RSPB Leighton Moss is a great visit close by! Within the area, walking, cycling, golf and horse riding are all popular activities and at the end of the day, a relaxing meal and a drink or two can be enjoyed in the excellent restaurants, pubs and cafés close by. Arnside is a perfect base to explore its surrounding areas of the South lakes and Yorkshire Dales. There is a train station within 10 minutes walk that can take you to Grange-over-Sands, another wonderful seaside town, with a range of shops and cafés. Or why not visit the village of Cartmel, known as the foodie capital of the South Lakes with its Michelin star restaurant, race days and famous for its sticky toffee pudding!
