Perfectly placed for exploring the Brecon Beacons, this property is also only 2 miles from Aberdare train station with its direct train to Cardiff. Aberdare, at the heart of the Cynon Valley, bears all the usual landmarks of valley towns as well as having some great examples of Victorian architecture. There are several cafes and restaurants for eating out, and takeaways including a very popular fish and chip shop located in nearby Hirwaun (5.5 miles). Visit the beautiful Victorian Aberdare Park with plenty of cultural and historical sights, or head to Dare Valley Country Park which is set in a glacier valley and has three marked walks offering some fantastic scenery and wildlife viewing. For adventure seekers, the Zip World Tower and the Bike Park Wales are just 8 miles away set in the Rhigos mountains. As you enter the cottage into the hallway, to your left you will find the softly decorated lounge/dining area which makes for a very cosy and comfortable place to unwind after all that walking and exploring. Bright and airy, this room has large windows to the front of the property and French doors at the rear making it perfect to take in those lush green mountain views. Should you ever get bored of those views there is also a Smart TV for you to enjoy. At the end of the hallway, you ll find a well equipped kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine, giving you everything you need to rustle up a good meal and refuel for the next outing. Head up the stairs and at the end of the landing, you ll find a relaxing double bedroom which again offers some great views of those lush green mountains you may well be tempted to explore. Head back along the hallway and you have another bedroom with a cosy single bed and one of the best mountain views from the home. Upstairs, you also have a small dressing room/working space, so if even if you do need to do some work while you re on holiday, you can shut the door behind you when you ve finished. The bathroom is the final room on this floor and includes a shower over the bath, so whether you want a long relaxing soak to finish the day or a refreshing shower to get you going in the morning, you re all set. Venturing outside to the rear of the property, you will find an enclosed garden with an artificial lawn and a patio area including a table and chairs. A small shed is available to store two bikes and the charcoal BBQ is also stored here for you to use in the garden. You can park two vehicles on the driveway at the front of the property.
