Ingleside Cottage is situated on a quiet lane running through the quintessential Cotswold village of Broad Campden. This lovely cottage has retained many of its original features such as the flagstone floors, old exposed beams and leaded glass windows. During the summer months, enjoy a wonderful evening in the charming garden with its colourful array of flower beds lined on both sides.
Enter into the cosy sitting room with a beautiful beamed ceiling, mullion windows with leaded lights, flagstone floor and tasteful furnishings. The main focal point of the room is the stunning inglenook fireplace, conveniently fitted with a wood burning stove effect gas fire, which you would be hard pushed not to think was the real thing. The television in here is also cleverly disguised as a beautiful guilt framed mirror! A small step up leads into the spacious dining room with a Kemble piano and a second television. This room opens into the compact but well-equipped kitchen with a lovely view of the garden and a utility room next door. The stairs to the first floor bedrooms are from the sitting room, please mind your step here as they are a little steep. Upstairs, two pretty bedrooms include a king-size bedroom with more exposed ceiling beams; and bedroom two is a cosy double with a 4'6 bed and its own wash basin. Both rooms share a small shower room on the same floor.
Outside, several steps lead up to the garden, where you can enjoy this private, enclosed and beautifully stocked cottage garden, with plenty of room for dogs to run around.
The cottage is in the most perfect of locations, being in one of the most picturesque villages in the North Cotswolds boasting many thatched cottages, a charming church, the oldest Friends Meeting House in the country (17th century) and the 'Bakers Arms' pub, featured in the Good Beer Guide and the Good Pub Guide, offering real ale and excellent food in both bar and restaurant. There are many public footpaths in the area including a delightful walk to Chipping Campden, an historic market wool town, with an abundance of independent shops, restaurants, wine bars and teashops.
