The location benefits from the best of both worlds, with excellent sandy beaches and the famous Norfolk Broads on the doorstep. Sea Palling is just 14 minutes’ drive with an excellent sandy beach backed by sand dunes, cafés, pub and amusements. Sutton Staithe is the gateway to the Norfolk Broads connecting onto the River Ant which flows onto Barton Broad, How Hill and Ludham Bridge with daily boat hire and river trips to explore the miles of waterways. River fishing is also available (seasonal and licence required) and The Norfolk Broads Museum (seasonal opening) where you can discover the history of boating and The Broads all nearby. The Broads and three pubs serving local beers and food are all within a mile and there is direct private access to Weavers Way public footpath, with Hickling only a mile away. The village centre of Stalham is just 2½ miles. Having everything you need, cafés, bakery, supermarket, chemist, petrol station, beautician, bank and eateries. Wroxham, known as the Capital of the Broads, is only 9½ miles with shops, supermarket, cafés and restaurants. This is also home to the Bure Valley Railway, a narrow steam gauge railway visiting the nearby village of Coltishall and the market town of Aylsham.
