Strolling along the quaint cobblestone path that leads to an original oak front door, guests are welcomed into a lovely entrance hall with slate flagstone flooring, high ceilings and a staircase that winds to the upper floor. Combining the old with the new, thick stone walls, sash windows and enormous fireplaces sit alongside plush sofas, grand furnishings and modern décor, for an atmosphere of away-from-it-all elegance that flows throughout.
A fabulous sitting room with sinkable seating and a wood-burning stove is just the place for morning conversation or afternoon reading, and the amply equipped kitchen with its blue Aga and farmhouse table is perfectly suited to home cooking and mealtimes with all the family. Upstairs, the home’s beautiful bedrooms (one of which is en-suite) are spacious and bright with antique furniture, luxury beds and lovely views creating four inviting sanctuaries to retreat to after days spent exploring the delights of the local area.
Outside there are spaces to entertain in as well as places for quiet reflection with far reaching countryside views over a boating pond and beyond creating an idyllic spot for spending time in the sunshine. An enclosed gravelled courtyard with two barbecues, a large fire bowl and an outdoor dining suite lends itself perfectly to fresh air cooking and dining, with a one-acre paddock and flat area ideal for outdoor games. Beyond are over seventy acres of land belonging to Fletchers with trails, streams and copses to which guests have access.
*The indoor stables games room with punching bag, table tennis/football, pool and darts is a shared facility between guests at the Farmhouse and the Barn.
Living Room
Situated on the ground floor, this lovely room is furnished with two sofas, a coffee table, TV cabinet, flat screen TV with Sky, a music system and DVD player. An enormous fireplace with slate hearth and original oak lintel house a fantastic cast iron wood burning stove, with a bench seat beneath the sash window creating a quiet place to enjoy the verdant outlook beyond with a cup of tea and biscuits
Kitchen
Located on the ground floor the rustic kitchen forms the heart of the home with an AGA and cast iron Jotul stove residing in two original inglenooks. Large and well-equipped, there is plenty of storage as well as worktop space so whipping up a batch of freshly baked scones or an afternoon roast is an absolute breeze. A good selection of cookware, cutlery, crockery and utensils are provided along with a range of appliances that include an electric induction hob and electric grill, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. Two armchairs rest on either side of the fireplace to create a delightful place to catch up on a good book (especially in the colder months when the fire is lit and roaring)
Dining Room
Situated on the ground floor and incorporated within the kitchen, this room has a farmhouse table and seating for eight as well as a TV with Sky and a music system. There’s also a desk and chair that sit alongside the two armchairs and fireplace
Master Bedroom
Situated upstairs on the first floor this en-suite bedroom is furnished with a king size four poster bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps, a mirror and a freestanding wardrobe

To the front and side of the house is an enclosed courtyard garden with stone walling and gravel and from here, guests can take in the beauty of the setting with lovely views over the pond and countryside. Tucked into a corner of the space is a private hot tub where an indulgent soak can be enjoyed any time of the day or night, and an outdoor rattan dining suite of a round table and eight chairs is just the place to converge for breakfasts in the sunshine or evening G&T's. There’s a corten steel fire bowl as well as a gas barbecue and a smaller charcoal barbecue for fresh air cooking, and beyond is a one-acre paddock with a boating pond (which has a jetty and outdoor furniture), stream and flat area for outdoor games. Designed for groups with small children in tow, the outdoor areas will delight the youngest members of the family, while a terrific treehouse (with balcony) can be enjoyed by all, including the adults.

Private off-road parking for up to 5 vehicles next to the Farmhouse. Please note that the access along the lane is not suitable for low suspension or sports cars as well as for very large vehicles, however SUV's, 4x4's and pick-up trucks are fine
