This quaint, traditional cottage dating back to the mid 19th century boasts an elevated position set back from the main road with delightful views over the valley. Across from the cottage you can enjoy quiet walks along the canal into the centre of the market town of Todmorden (1.5 miles) and browse the many quirky shops, bars and cafes. A visit to Gaddings Dam (1.5 miles) is a must where you can hike to the reservoir that is home to the highest beach in England. The popular town of Hebden Bridge is approximately 3 miles away, home to the picturesque National Trust owned Hardcastle Crags. Journey to Haworth (11.5 miles) where the splendid Parsonage Museum commemorates the famous Bronte family who lived there, and explore the stunning Bronte Falls. The Yorkshire Dales and Peak District National Parks are also within easy reach. Take the steps up to the property and step back in time as you enter the cosy living room with a wood burner and flagstone floor. Relax on the sofa in front of the wood burner and watch a movie on the Smart TV after a day of exploring. Moving through the cottage, you ll find the traditional kitchen/diner, equipped with gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. An antique wooden dining table provides the ideal place for the family to gather and spend some quality time together over an evening meal, or to partake in a board game. On the first floor you will find two well appointed bedrooms; one king size and one single with an additional pull out single bed. Completing the property is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy with an enclosed patio area and garden furniture, from which you can admire the lovely views towards the valley and the impressive, historic Stoodley Pike monument. Up a few steps is an enclosed garden with a picnic bench and BBQ area, the ideal spot for dining alfresco. There is also some woodland behind the cottage which guests are free to explore. There is an outhouse for secure cycle storage and ample parking in a layby on the road at the front of the cottage (subject to availability).
