The cottage is situated in a beautiful remote spot on the outskirts of the tranquil village of Renwick along the north western edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The lively village of Kirkoswald has a couple of welcoming pubs and a choice of footpaths and bridleways for keen walkers to explore. Also nearby is the pretty village of Little Salkeld (6.5 miles), which is home to Lacy s Caves, Long Meg and Her Daughters, and a working watermill. Heading west, Penrith (12.5 miles) is a thriving market town with a great range of pubs and restaurants. Enjoy a day trip to the northern reaches of the Lake District National Park (17.5 miles), with Ullswater the nearest lake (20 miles). Stepping into this bright and cheerful cottage, you will be immediately greeted by the airy and relaxed dining room, a charming space for getting together, sharing a family meal and chatting about the day s events. Exploring further, the spacious and friendly lounge has plenty of seating, a warming wood burner and a TV, providing an ideal space for snuggling up and relaxing with a film in the evening. There s also a love seat positioned by the bay window, a perfect spot for catching up with a good book. A beamed doorway home to a friendly cardboard mouse! leads through to the country style kitchen. Equipped with an electric oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher and a handy breakfast bar, this is a great space for the cook in the family to rustle up all your favourite meals. Going upstairs, there are three bright and airy first floor bedrooms, all decorated in pleasant, relaxing shades. There are two spacious king size rooms with plenty of storage, one overlooking the garden while the other looks out over the surrounding countryside. The pretty single bedroom has plenty of storage space as well as an extra pull out single bed which can be made up for an additional guest on request. The first floor also offers the family bathroom, complete with a shower over the bath and a WC, as well as a stylish shower room with shower and WC. Heading outside, the cottage has a couple of charming gardens with lawns and mature trees. Ample off road parking is available for up to three cars on the driveway. Please note, the cottage is located on a working farm so livestock and farm machinery will be present.
