Discover local history with a visit to Muncaster Castle, 4 miles away, or Swinside Stone Circle, 14.5 miles away. Take on the mighty Scafell Pike, England s highest mountain, just 11 miles away or stay on low ground with a walk around Wast Water, 8 miles away, the national park s deepest lake at 260 feet.
