Escape to this lovely village with lots of walks to follow, and you can take a stroll by the water during your break. For panoramic views and a slightly more strenuous climb, head 2.5 miles to Muncaster Fell and visit Muncaster Castle (1.5 miles) too. Steeped in history, the Roman Bath House is less than a mile from your door and worth a visit whether you re a history enthusiast or not. Hop on the La al Ratty Steam Engine and ride the train 7.5 miles to Boot, a great family friendly day out. The heart of Wasdale is 11 miles from home and the valley boasts England s highest mountain and deepest lake where you can jump in for a wild swim. Step up and through the front door to find yourself in the lounge. Take a seat on the sofa or one of two chairs and enjoy the wood burner effect electric fire. Switch on the TV or sit with a book to relax. Make your way into the modern kitchen with a built in fan oven with ceramic hobs, dishwasher and a fridge. Serve up in the dining room where the table seats all guests so you can enjoy time together whilst you eat. Between the dining room and the kitchen is a pantry with useful microwave and freezer. If you need to wash clothes throughout your stay, there is a washing machine near the rear of the house. Completing the ground floor is the family bathroom with WC and shower over the bath. Find two welcoming bedrooms upstairs. First is the double bedroom with ornamental fireplace and a shower in the room. Next is the twin room, a lovely spot in which to drift off. A small yet lovely place to catch the morning sun, the snug rear yard is great for enjoying your morning coffee alfresco. There is an outhouse with a WC and sink which can be used in all but the winter months. There is off road parking for one small car at the front of the property, larger cars may not fit. Additional space is available in the public pay and display car park. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double, 1 twin. 1 bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC, 1 shower in double bedroom, outdoor WC (not available during winter months). Oven with ceramic hobs, dishwasher, fridge. Pantry with microwave and freezer. TV. Wi Fi included. Small rear yard. Regret no pets. Shop 2.5 miles, pub 100m.
