Wander the many bridleways and tracks that wind around the local area. Saunter to the nearby village of Little Salkeld (5 miles) where you can tread circular routes along the river in search of Lacy s Cave and Long Meg and Her Daughters. At 7 miles from your door, the market town of Penrith has shops, eateries and a cinema so you can easily spend days and nights keeping yourselves entertained here. Further afield, Ullswater (17 miles) is well worth the journey and you can board an Ullswater Steamer and admire the Aira Force waterfall for a day to remember. Step inside this Grade II listed home which dates back to the 18th century and settle in. Sit beneath exposed beams and in front of the roaring open fire in the lounge the perfect spot for relaxing.
