In Penrith, you ll find a historic castle, plenty of eateries and, of course, a train station connecting you to Cumbria further afield. You won t feel short changed when it comes to adventure in the nearby Lake District National Park (3 miles), a vibrant and magical area filled with stunning mountains and impressive lakes. Discover the vast Ullswater just 5 miles from home, enjoying a calming walk along its shores and a visit to the awe inspiring Aira Force Waterfall (11 miles). Not too much further is the impressive fell of Helvellyn (16.5 miles), a stunning peak that ll satisfy even the expert hikers.
