Located in the north of the Lake District, in the quaint village of Uldale, this delightful property offers guests a tranquil and restful stay. The area is known as Back O Skiddaw, and from here you can venture up Skiddaw itself. Or perhaps try a gentler climb to the top of Binsey, Little Cockup or Great Calva all of which afford stunning views from their distinctive smooth, grassy tops. Despite its seclusion, the cottage is not far from popular Bassenthwaite Lake and its nesting ospreys. Animal loving families will have great fun at the Lake District Wildlife Park, just down the road. Keswick is a short, scenic drive away and has a lovely high street with shops, restaurants, and museums, as well as a wealth of outdoor activities. Sympathetically renovated, this charming property boasts comfort and character throughout. Exposed beams and stonework reflect the cottage s history, whilst modern fixtures and fittings add comfort. The cosy lounge has sofas centred around a wood burner, so whether you re watching the Smart TV or warming your toes in front of the fire, you ll soon feel at home. The kitchen/diner is a spacious and lovely room, with a French shaker style kitchen adding style and character and a dining table seating four. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: a king size and a twin. Both have vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, creating light and space. Completing the accommodation is a family shower room. Outside, there is a seating area including a quirky hand made bench and a BBQ for al fresco meals in the evening sun. There is also a shed and a covered area for storing bikes the National Cycle Route 10 passes nearby. Parking is available in the village.
