The area is known as Back O Skiddaw, and from here you can venture up Skiddaw itself. Or perhaps try a gentler climb to the top of Binsey, Little Cockup or Great Calva all of which afford stunning views from their distinctive smooth, grassy tops. Despite its seclusion, the cottage is not far from popular Bassenthwaite Lake and its nesting ospreys. Animal loving families will have great fun at the Lake District Wildlife Park, just down the road. Keswick is a short, scenic drive away and has a lovely high street with shops, restaurants, and museums, as well as a wealth of outdoor activities. Sympathetically renovated, this charming property boasts comfort and character throughout. Exposed beams and stonework reflect the cottage s history, whilst modern fixtures and fittings add comfort.
