Tucked away on the western edge of the Lake District National Park, find yourself with lots to see and do. Dip in the ocean, build sandcastles and bask in the fresh, salty air at the nearby beach at Seascale (3 miles) and tuck into a traditional portion of fish and chips for a true taste of the coast. Close to the property, in the magical Wasdale Valley, discover England s deepest lake, Wastwater (6 miles); England s highest mountain, Scafell Pike (11 miles); and the tiny church of St Olaf (9 miles). After adventures or relaxing days spent at home, treat yourselves to a night off from the kitchen and visit one of the village s local pubs or grab a pizza from the takeaway whilst little ones play in the park. Step inside the back door and find yourself in the spacious kitchen where there is plenty of room for your designated chef to have a helping hand or two. Find all you need to cook up delicious feasts and stock the large fridge/freezer with any leftovers so you can rustle up a winning picnic. The breakfast table is a great spot at which to sip your morning coffee whilst the dining table in the lounge/diner caters perfectly for communal dinners. Light, bright and spacious, the lounge/diner has a pair of comfortable sofas which invite you to sink down and switch off for some time in front of the TV/DVD. After tasty dinners, climb the curved staircase to the first floor where the three bedrooms are waiting for you to rest. Decorated in tranquil, neutral tones with hints of colour, the king size, twin and single bedrooms all create a calming ambience for you to drift off. When you awake in the morning, freshen up in the family bathroom or head downstairs where there is a further WC. A wonderful spot for al fresco tipples, snacks and sundowners, the patio sits beneath an arbour offering a lovely space to sit. There is off road parking so you can pull up and unload bags with ease.
