The vibrant market town of Broughton-in-Furness is just a short drive away and has some lovely, traditional shops, plus excellent pubs. The pretty hamlet of Seathwaite is close by and this is the gateway up the quieter side of the Lake District, with the Hardknott Pass and Wrynose Pass both running out of the valley. Either side of the valley are stunning mountain ranges with lots of footpaths and bridleways to explore.
