The property features a spacious open plan living area with solid oak floors, vaulted ceilings, huge sumptuous sofas, and a cosy double fronted woodburning stove, making it perfect for relaxing together, on those chillier evenings. With its large 60” smart TV with Sky package including sports and movies,Netflix and Amazon Prime, guests will never be short of something to watch together in the evenings after a busy day out in the surrounding area. Completing the accommodation is a bespoke white hi-gloss kitchen and a dining area which are designed with every comfort in mind. Stairs from the living area lead to a glass mezzanine balcony with seating area and windows which look out over the Waskerley Beck below; a perfect place to relax with a good book. From here a walkway leads to the two double bedrooms and family bathroom. Outside, the enclosed garden is an ideal spot to relax with a glass of something cool and listen to the delightful sounds of the beck as it gurgles its way to join the River Wear. Bridge House is centrally located in Wolsingham and is just a short stroll from an array of pretty shops, restaurants and pubs. Nearby Hamsterley Forest has a network of walking and cycle paths where bikes and horses can be hired for the day. A short drive will take you to many local attractions including Barnard Castle, High Force and Durham Cathedral. A little further afield are the delights of the Lake District or the Northumberland Heritage Coastline, or you can simply enjoy relaxing in your beautiful holiday home. Wolsingham is a small market town with beautiful buildings and period features. There is also the Wolsingham Agricultural Society which is held every year in September and draws large crowds.
