The fabulous beauty spot of Lake Vyrnwy is approximately 10 miles away where you can wander through pretty woodland trails, enjoy a meal at the riverside café or hire a rowing boat to enjoy the vast waters and spot the local wildlife. The small, traditional village of Llangadfan in Powys is an excellent central location for exploring all of Mid Wales and beyond into Snowdonia and Shropshire. Llangadfan boasts Glyndwrs Way footpaths and the Foel Ramble, a 4 mile walk overlooking the hills of Montgomeryshire and also it is close to the Cambrian and Berwyn mountain ranges where there is wonderful scenery in all directions. The village also has a pub/restaurant and a shop/tea room, and the Cann Office Hotel, just one mile away has a bar, restaurant and gardens and was formerly Cae ’n Fos, a medieval fortified camp on a bend on the River Banwy.
