This delightful cottage is set on an elevated site, with far-reaching views across the countryside to the fabulous Trotternish Ridge, in the village of Staffin, Isle of Skye. Tastefully presented and well-equipped, this cottage is ideal for a family or group of friends who want to spend time together on the magical Isle of Skye. There are three pretty bedrooms on the upper floor, all with great views. The ground floor has a spacious and comfortable sitting room with a feature fireplace and fire providing that little extra bit of comfort on the chillier nights. The kitchen, with its solid oak flooring, is a sociable area and meals can be prepared with ease and enjoyed around the table together. The village of Staffin has good local services and very close to this cottage is Columba 1400, a community centre with an excellent cafe/restaurant should guests wish to pop out for something to eat and the home-baking is to be recommended! Within a few minutes’ walk visitors can be at the beautiful rugged coastline and follow a single track road down to a quiet sandy beach, ideal for summer picnics! If you ever want to leave the village, then Skye has much to offer and, of course, the scenery is hard to beat. The islands capital is a short drive away and on route to Portree you will pass the famous Kilt Rock with its vertical columns of basalt that resemble the tartan of a kilt, so stop off in the car park and soak up the fabulous views. The island has a big coastline and there is much to explore but at the end of a busy day returning to your pretty cottage will be just perfect!
Occupying a coastal location on the northern half of the Isle of Skye, is the crofting village of Staffin. Overlooking Staffin Bay and Staffin Island, this tranquil village boasts something for everyone, with two restaurants, two shops, a part time opening Post Office, the Staffin Slipway for sailing enthusiasts, the only sandy beach in the north of Skye.
