A short drive will take you to Kerry Ridgeway, where you can enjoy an exceptionally beautiful walk or cycle through Powys and then into Shropshire. The route runs along a ridge top overlooking Wales on the one side and England on the other with spectacular views for the duration of the ride. Before you head back to the barn, be sure to call into the Kerry Vineyard, visit the cafe and perhaps book yourself on a tour and wine-tasting experience. Just six miles away is the historic market town of Montgomery, a pleasant place to explore with its mixture of timber-framed houses, Georgian and Victorian architecture and its hilltop 13th century castle. The bustling town of Welshpool and the medieval market town of Shrewsbury are both well worth a visit, each with their own array of shops and attractions reflecting their cultural past.
