The seaside resort of Perranporth is eight miles away with large sandy beach, shops, restaurants and inns. Newquay is famed for its surf, so hire some gear and take a lesson or enjoy spectacular cliff top walks at Holywell Bay. Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s.
