Past a welcoming sitting vestibule area, the kitchen is well-equipped for all your holiday needs. In the spacious sitting area you are struck by a large fireplace, currently housing an electric flame-effect fire, with leather sofas to help you unwind in front of the TV. A few steps take you up to a dining room with antique furniture to host your meals, alongside a wonderfully presented double bedroom with charming wooden beams making you feel right at home. Upstairs are two spacious double bedrooms set into the sloping roof of the cottage, with a bathroom offering a modern rain shower enclosure. The cottage is reached via a gravel drive which is surrounded by lawns, but the pathway to the home provides you with a lawned area in which to soak up the sun, or there is a patio area for the chef to conjure some magic at the gas barbecue. A two-mile journey takes you to the amenities on offer in the town of Much Wenlock, or if you fancy a slightly livelier venue then continue on to Telford a further eight miles up the road. The delights of Shrewsbury are sixteen miles away, or why not drop in on the riverside historical charm of Ironbridge – assuming you can tear yourself away from the beauty of the Shropshire Hills. Considered as the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games, Much Wenlock is a market town that has been around for 700 years. The town offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants along twisting streets and black and white half-timbered buildings. With the 15 mile long Wenlock Edge there is plenty walking, cycling and riding to be done here. Nearby are other towns including Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Ludlow.
