With such a high capacity, any property needs significant living space, and Elder Howe has this in abundance. The ground floor boasts a large open plan sitting room with no less than four sofas from which to enjoy each other's company. Numbers are easily catered for in the additional dining area with a large dining table. To support such a group, the kitchen is of significant size, rounding off the luxurious feel of the living areas. As well as a downstairs single bedroom, the property has four upstairs bedrooms; two en-suite doubles, a twin and a triple to ensure the size of the property is maximised. Elder Howe doesn't compromise on outside space either. There is private parking for up to four cars, and the rear of the home has a beautifully kept and secure lawned area with a patio section to match. Pooley Bridge makes the most of its idyllic location on the edge of Ullswater, so a five minute walk finds you amongst all the amenities you require for your stay. Bar and restaurant is open weekends from Easter to Whit then fully open every day until September. Weekends only during October. During the summer season entertainment is laid on with children's discos, live entertainment, licensed bar and beer garden, during the summer school holidays a children's club is operated and there is a restaurant with take away service available. Ullswater itself is second only to Windermere in size, so there are plenty of water activities to be found around the water's edge. If you prefer a less energetic break, the historic Eden Valley town of Penrith is only six miles to the north, or a half an hour drive through the stunning mountainous countryside takes you to the beauty of Keswick. Ideally located to be at the heart of the best of the Lake District, Elder Howe is a perfect spot for a large group break in Cumbria.

Pooley Bridge is a traditional village inn, cafe and shops. The surrounding area is home to numerous quaint Lakeland villages scattered along the shores of Lake Ullswater and Aira Force is a dramatic waterfall cascading into the lake below. Sharrow Bay Hotel is only a short drive away for the ultimate in dining and is renowned the world over or a trip over Kirkstone Pass brings you into Ambleside where there is an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants. The historic market town of Penrith is within 5 miles and has numerous shops, a heated indoor swimming pool, golf course and driving range.
