Set over five floors, this cottage features five beautiful bedrooms, including two king-size double rooms on the ground and second floors, a ground floor single and a second floor twin and a twin room in a crog loft. The lower ground floor offers a well-equipped kitchen with an AGA, a beech block worktop and a spacious dining area, where you can all sit together and enjoy delicious home-cooked meals over discussions of the day’s adventures. Curl up together in the cosy first floor sitting room and unwind with a film. Outside, an enclosed patio offers a fabulous place to sit and soak up the sunshine or enjoy alfresco dining on those warm summer evenings. Just across the road, steps lead down to the harbour where many locals and holidaymakers while away the day angling or crabbing. Caernarfon plays host to a variety of restaurants, an historic castle and a market square, all within a moment’s stroll of this North Wales cottage. Within fifteen minutes’ drive you will find the foothills of Snowdonia. From here you can access footpaths to the very summit of Mount Snowdon, or a mountain railway offers the chance to travel there in comfort from nearby Llanberis. Anglesey is a short drive away and the Menai Strait offer a variety of water activities from RIB rides to dinghy sailing. This is a fantastic cottage, perfect for discovering the delights and wonders of North Wales.
Caernarfon has much historic and cultural importance in North Wales. It is a popular tourist spot with an impressive 13th Century castle, well preserved town walls and delightful water front. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery, the village of Beddgelert and onto Porthmadog. Caernarfon offers a wide selection of shops and places to eat and is close to the lovely beaches of the Isle of Anglesey as well as the mountains and rivers of Snowdonia, including the renowned mountaineering town of Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon.
